“Beloved community is formed not by the eradication of difference but by its affirmation, by each of us claiming the identities and cultural legacies that shape who we are and how we live in the world.”

Charlotte Wolf

Community Organizer |  she/her/hers

As the community organizer at United for a New Economy, Charlotte is responsible for recruiting a base of grassroots community members and developing their leadership to take public action and advance UNE’s priority campaigns.

Charlotte has been creating deep relationships based on common values from a very young age. As a child, she grew up spending her summers on a sustainable farm where she learned the value of community, authenticity, and diversity. As she fell in love with the animals and nature on the farm, she was also able to envision sustainable, equitable, and accessible communities that put power back into the hands of people. As she grew, Charlotte found her place in the LGBTQ community, where she was able to be her true, authentic self. Charlotte believes in a future where everyone can be their authentic selves and thrive in communities that are built by and for them.

Charlotte was introduced to politics and power-building through campaigns in her home state of Illinois, and working for a state representative at the Colorado State Capitol. She also worked for the city of Fort Collins on water conservation, where she was introduced to the change possible by talking to people on the ground. Through these experiences, Charlotte has seen the power of organizing people and the importance of base-building in creating the communities that she wants to see.

At UNE, Charlotte is excited to organize a base of people in order to create structural, overarching change on a larger scale and center her work on racial and economic justice.
