Power and Profit: The Story of Corporate Landlords in Colorado

All Coloradans desire a safe, stable, and affordable place to call home where we can stay rooted, engage in our communities and allow our families to thrive. Increasingly, this basic standard of living is out of reach for Coloradans.

This report sheds light on the business and political practices of the real estate industry in the residential rental housing market in Colorado. The report investigates the ways in which real estate-affiliated political groups and corporations have taken advantage of hardworking Coloradans and made it increasingly unaffordable to live in the state we call home. Ultimately, we hope that the findings of this report will inspire action and encourage community members and lawmakers to fight for all Coloradans’ right to a safe, affordable, and dignified home.
